Dr. Kalluri Rama Kotaiah was born in Lakshmipuram, Prakasam District

He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in the year 1998 and completed his Masters in Engineering in the year 2000 from Ranchi University, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Prof. Rama Kotaiah has been awarded Ph.D in the faculty of Mechanical Engineering from SCSVMV University, Kancheepuram, Tamilnadu.

Dr. Kalluri Rama Kotaiah has 23 years experience in teaching and 02 years in Industry. He joined as a Lecturer in the department of mechanical engineering in the year 2000 at KL University (formerly K.L College of engineering). In the subsequent years he was promoted as senior lecturer, Asst. Professor and Professor. He occupied many administrative positions in KL University. Later, he worked as a Professor & HOD in KITS, Guntur from 2016 to 2023.

He took research degree in the field of Micro Machining and published over 36 scopus indexed journal papers and presented 6 papers in conferences. He attended many teacher training workshops conducted by IIT’s under Quality Improvement Program.

He is the reviewer of International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology and also for International Journal of Machining and Machinability. He is a recognized Supervisor for Ph.D. scholars under JNTU Hyderabad and KL University. He has guided Six research scholars for the award of Ph.D degree and 02 students are presently working under his guidance.
